All of these lines across our faces,

All of the scars we’ve had in our lives.

They’re a gentle reminder of who we are,

And what we have survived.

What we’ve overcome,

What we’ve now become.

Where did we fall,

How did we rise

What made us thrive,

And what we have survived.

Our stories must be heard,

For others to get inspired.

It’s not about something deprived,

It’s about what we have survived.

Tribute to Manchester Arena Victims

All the struggles we face today
All the struggles we faced in the past
To The brave victims, I pay my respect.
And condemn the act of cowardly blast.
Hatred is not the answer,
Hatred will not last.
We shall stand united in the time of terror.
Until the time of trial is surpassed
Until the time of trial is surpassed.

It will be Back….

The radiant sun smiles at me,

I smile back,

It says something before was glowing within me,

Which I now lack,

Looking down at the sand beneath my feet,

the mighty sea and the little corner shack.

I pledge to myself, I assure the sun,

I am aware of the shine that I lack,

But my old self will be back,

It may take a while,

from dusk to dawn,

I will shine again, and even more strong.

But till then, I must sitback.

for it may take a while,

But my old self will be back,

It will be back.

Keeping the Faith

The things we don’t say,

are etched within us,

deep deep away.

They need to be released

We must find a way.

But our dear God, works with plans of his own,

To let us go into the depths of unknown

and sometimes we sink,

We surrender – accept the fate.

But still a voice inside us,

tells us to keep going,

To believe in god’s plans,

His love and his doings,

His magic to unfold,

The voice tells us to wait.

That little voice within, Is called “Keeping the Faith”.

Best Meredith Grey Quotes About life

I am a TV/ Movie buff. One of my favourite TV shows of all times is Grey’s anatomy. More so than others because of the most genuine and hard hitting life lessons that Meredith Grey (the protagonist) Taught us through her brilliantly written Monologues. I wanted to share some of my personal preferred ones with you all. Shortlisting them was not easy, as some of them are filled with optimism while others are hard core realities about life and some, motivation and great advice.

  1. “At the end of the day, faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don’t really expect it. It’s like one day you realize the fairy tale may be slightly different than you dreamed of. The castle, well, it may not be a castle. And it’s not so important that it’s happy ever after just that it’s happy right now. See once in a while, once in a blue moon people will surprise you. And once and a while people may even take your breath away.”

  2. “At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don’t keep other people out. They fence you in. Life is messy. That’s how we’re made. So, you can waste your life drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them.”

  3. “Change… We don’t like it, we fear it. But we can’t stop it from coming. We either adapt to change, or we get left behind. It hurts to grow. Anybody who tells you it doesn’t, is lying. But here’s the truth: Sometimes, the more things change, the more they stay the same. And sometimes, oh, sometimes, change is good. Sometimes, change is… everything.”

  4. “We do our very best but sometimes it’s just not good enough. We buckle our seat belts, we wear a helmet, we stick to the lighted path. We try so hard to protect ourselves but it doesn’t make a damn bit of difference, cause when the bad things come, they come out of nowhere. The bad things come suddenly with no warning, but we forget, that sometimes that’s how the good things come too.”

  5. “If there’s just one piece of advice I can give you, it’s this… when there’s something you really want, fight for it, don’t give up no matter how hopeless it seems. And when you’ve lost hope, ask yourself in 10 years from now, you’re gonna wish you gave it just one more shot because the best things in life, they don’t come free.”

  6. “Progress looks like a bunch of failures. And you can have feelings about that because it’s sad. But you can’t fall apart.”

  7. “They say death is hardest on the living. It’s tough to actually say goodbye. Sometimes it’s impossible. You never really stop feeling the loss. It’s what makes things so bitter sweet. We leave little bits of ourselves behind, little reminders. A lifetime of memories, photos, trinkets. Things to remember us by even when were gone.”

  8. “It’s one of those things people say: you can’t move on until you’ve let go of the past. Letting go is the easy part. It’s the moving on that’s painful. So sometimes we fight it, trying to keep things the same. Things can’t stay the same though. At some point you just have to let go, move on. Because no matter how painful it is, it’s the only way we grow.”

  9. “Your life is a gift. Accept it. No matter how screwed up or painful it seems to be. Some things are going to work out as if they were destined to happen. As if they were just meant to be.”

  10. “Once things start going wrong, it’s hard to break the cycle. Murphy’s Law is not physics. It’s just a thing a guy said to try and make sense of a crappy day. Just because things go wrong, it doesn’t mean they’re out of our control.”

  11. “We have to keep something to ourselves. Or else anyone can get to us. They’ll see the stuff we don’t show anyone. So we build the walls high and wide. And we lock the gates.”

  12. “The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can’t pretend we haven’t been told. We’ve all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day.

Still, sometimes, we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today’s possibility under tomorrow’s rug, until we can’t anymore, until we finally understand for ourselves …. That knowing, is better than wondering. That waking, is better than sleeping. And that even the biggest failure, even the worst, most intractable mistake, beats the hell out of never trying.”

-Meredith Grey

Take a trip to the mountains,

To the meadows and to the fountains.

Feel your soul stirring with grace,

And sometimes dance to some rock and some bass.

Take the road that you never traveled by,

Walk through that tunnel, don’t be shy.

Sit by the beach, if you want to cry

Feel the cool sea breeze, help the tears dry.

Travel along as much as you can,

Alone if you may, you don’t need to plan.

Because when you travel, Life is different,

Time doesn’t move in hour or minutes

But measured moment to moment,

It is these moments which shape our soul,

And mend our broken selves into a whole.
